National Zoo

I took a trip to the National Zoo on Saturday
and was able to get a few pretty good shots...

Rainbows

There was a pretty good thunderstorm
tonight and it was followed by this huge rainbow.
Here are a few shots of it.

This shot was taken in black and white.
It's different, but a rainbow lacking color
isn't very exciting.

In keeping with the theme of rainbows,
the next two shots were taken in Vermont
last December at the Cabot Cheese store.

Yard Flowers

Here are some shots of flowers

my parents planted in our yard.
I like to take pictures of flowers,
many of the pictures
I have taken are of flowers.

NYC

Here are a few pics from a recent trip to NYC.

These sea lions were in the Central Park Zoo.

The next two shots are of the Empire State Building.
The first was taken when we first came into the city on Saturday morning,
and the second was taken when we were leaving the city Saturday night.

This has to be the ugliest squirrel I have ever seen.

Some Spring Shots

Since it has been raining almost everyday for the last week, I have not had too many opportunities to take good outdoor pictures. Here are a few I have taken.

This one was taken during a break in the rain.

This is a shot of the base path
at a local high school baseball field.

These next three are of a duckling/gosling
(we are not sure which one it is yet)
that hatched at work this past week.

This is the best I could do right now.
When it stops raining everyday,
I will be able to get out and take some better shots.
