A Fun One!

We were fascinated by the bathroom styles.
I thought I would share them with you!

First stop, the Ramada in Geneva.
Lots of mirrors, and glass.
No shower door/curtain,
but a bathroom door overall

The Leonardo in Heidelberg
Once again, no shower curtain/door.
The bathroom door is a frosted glass,
but at least its a door!

I missed taking a pic at the Hilton in Mainz.
That's because it was normal with
a shower curtain, and a solid wood door!

Here is one of the best by far!
The Radisson in Erfurt
A shower door which
doubles as door for the toilet room.
This wouldn't have been such a big deal, except...

There is no door for the bathroom itself!
Not to mention there is a full length mirror
on the wall opposite the shower!

It all worked out though,
and it made for an interesting experience!

Thinking it couldn't get any worse than that,
we moved on to the NH in Nuremberg.
This one had a door, but no shower door/curtain,
and a frosted glass window in the shower!

Which can easily be seen from the room!

The final stop was the Boeld in Oberammergau.
This one was a typical style bathroom.
With a frosted glass door and a shower curtain!

I hope you enjoyed the bathroom shots!
It was a fun experience for me,
and I needed to share it!

Next post, the Rhine River!!!

A Journey to Mainz

The road to Mainz

Germany has many wind turbines.
I thought this was a cool shot!
A hitch hiking bug

Mainz

Flowers

A Gutenberg bench located outside
the Gutenberg Museum

Side street

Cool fountain

If these were supposed to be benches,
they were very uncomfortable to sit on!
But this in a neat view of them!

The road along the Rhein river

A neat street light

Not finished yet!
I have another memory card loaded with pics!

More Germany

Heidelberg

Here are a few shots of the city of Heidelberg.

I thought this was an interesting
design in the roof of this building

Neat looking ivy covered building

Another angle

These are two of my favorite shots from the trip.
I like how clearly they turned out,
and the bird on the head is just great!

Worms

The Cathedral in Worms

Some of the stained glass in the cathedral

This is a neat weather vane type thing
on a building in Worms.

Still more to come!

More Switzerland and a Little Germany

Here are a few more shots from Switzerland.

If you look closely, right in the center
of this picture is a snow capped mountain.
It's not the best quality, but it was
taken through the window of a bus.
An interesting duck

A weather vane. I have many pictures of these,
as you will soon find out!

This shot is a bit crooked, but it's still a good one!

Another weather vane

This guy was hiding out on the side of a church.

The beginning of the Germany pictures.
These three pics were taken in a village
in the Black Forest.

More to come!!

Just a Few to Get Started

Alright, this is only the beginning.
On my recent trip to Switzerland and Germany
I snapped off over 3500 pictures.
No, I will not post all of them here,
but I will post some of the neater pics.
At least the ones I think are neat.

The first set of pics were taken in Geneva, Switzerland.

The Reformation Monument

Some stained glass inside St. Peter's Cathedral

I have a lot of sorting to do still,
but I will try for a post daily!
